Armas Erbi SCI Spanish 410 Double Anyone have any clue about this?

Here is a shotgun I have found no information on whatsoever. Need some help. This is an Armas Erbi SCI SxS 410 shotgun. Semi pistol grip stock with beavertail forend. The checkering was not cut sharp and all the diamonds are flat. On the top of the rib it says Armas Erbi SCI Elgoibar Made in Spain.

It is choked Improved and Modified. Auto safety, double triggers, extractor. Plunger style forend release.

Im not the type to usually do this but what would the approximate value os this. From the appearance of the workmanship I would not think it would be much more than 800-1000. But it is a 410 double.....

Did you try the Spanish gun section at shotgunworld.com? There are a lot of folks well versed in Spanish guns who might be able to give you some info.

I would guess about half of what you were guessing, based on a little web surfing I just did. They made average guns it seems, back in the '70s and early '80s and then went under after the DIARM conglomerate collapse (a dozen or two Spanish gunmakers got together, etc.) Maybe they made some higher grades, but I haven't run across any yet.

More on DIARM - http://books.google.com/books?id=7O...X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=10#PPA69,M1
