Attorney's have to be careful with filing overtly frivolous lawsuits, however. They are professionally obligated to do enough research to ensure any case they may file actually has some merit. If they don't, they can be censured (or whatever it's called for attorneys) and if it continues, they can be disbarred.

Agree re the obligation, but I see little policing of the offenders. I spent 15 years doing expert witness work in federal courts on the copyright area. I saw many frivolous suits but never saw an attorney get censured or sanctioned.

Question, do all these restrictions in your country on legal ownership of firearms prevent criminals or people with criminal intent from obtaining a gun?

Judging by number of gun crimes - yes. Its more complex topic, since IMHO its not just about restriction (which arent that hard) but also quite a strict punishment for illegal gun owning nad handling. Same with loosing gun or if somebody use your gun. If i simply it - its not impossible to obtain illegal weapon but its hard and risky enough, that it doesnt worth it
