This is how I boresighted my R700 in when I added my Mark 4. It is definitely accurate enough to get you on paper.

I find that a simple laser bore sighter that inserts into the muzzle works well and is much faster. It also works with any type of action, any caliber, any type of sights be it open iron, peep, scope, reflex, laser, any handgun, rifle or shotgun. Any type of boresighting is for getting on paper and will require additional adjustments to get desired POI.

I've been looking down the barrel of bolt guns for years as a poor man's bore sight. Works for me.
