Clay, that claim is valid then, it did 3/4" at 100 yards with Ultramax Reman 168 gr HPBT ammo, which is pretty impressive. First four shots are touching each other.

Try to find out what the loading is on the best shooting factory load, and start handloading using that for a starting point.
