Taurus Tracker, is it a quality revolver? I've wanted to add a .17HMR revolver and Taurus seems to be the only participant available. I've never owned a Taurus and do not want to sacrifice quality just to have one. If you have experience please share your knowledge and thanks for your opinion.

Ruger and Freedom Arms make .17 HMR revolvers, but they are single action. Chiappa also makes a single action, under $220. Can't speak to the quality of Taurus. Never had a problem with Rugers. Freedom Arms is pricy, quality is outstanding.

Taurus . . . do not want to sacrifice quality just to have one.
You're all mixed up. Taurus is a hit or miss proposition, and they've never been accused of high quality.

You might get a good one, but I wouldn't buy one I couldn't shoot first.

I've wanted to add a .17HMR revolver
Just cause I'm curious. . . why a revolver chambered for a tiny-bore rifle round?

I have a tracker in .44 mag, its been a great gun and gets carried and shot more than my ruger or smith. I would recommend some hogue grips though, I really dont like the factory ribber grips.

I had a 22lr/22mag Tracker. Its DA trigger was heavy, but fit an finish were good, and it was completely reliable.

My experience with Taurus was many moons ago. It was about 50/50 good/bad. I have not bought one in over 20 years now.
It happens once shame on them. It happens twice shame on me.

Well folks my decision has been made, no .17HMR Taurus Tracker for me, asked on several forums and very few had good things to say about a Taurus. Not sure why I wanted the .17HMR caliber except I have a rifle chambered for it. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.
