Although I once did three reloading steps (on a friend's equipment), have never done assembly on anything like this, and the Lee Kit is very different gear. Seldom assembled anything.
The instructions say nothing about how the smaller bits connect with which ever screws to which brackets or short cylinders, where the brackets are connected etc, but can't even figure how to connect the handle to the press.

Although the instructions paper explains a few things about the larger components, it says nothing about the smaller parts (?). It seems to assume a lot.
Have twice spent several minutes looking at the small brackets, screws and short cylinders. Baffled.

With 3,000 rounds of surplus corrosive .303 ammo there is no hurry, but would like to find out how many times a given new Prvi case can be reloaded in a given LE #4 or #5 using 150 grain bullets. My brother reloads with different gear for his LE #4 and K-31, and lives far away.
Found nothing on 'YouTube' about assembly of small parts. Any 'pm's are also welcome.

Doesnt the Challenger press come assembled without the handle installed?

Welcome to your Lee 50th Anniversary reloading kit:

After getting the press out of the box you will need to attach the aluminum primer catcher to the side. When the primers come out, this directs them down the tube and into the trash can (more often than not).

To assemble the handle, you'll need to find the handle (duh), the square peace with the hole for the handle, the bolt, and the washer. They go together like this:

The assembly fits into the ram so that the handle fits into the groves seen here:

These seat the primers. There is a larger one, and a smaller one. Use the one that fits the primers you are seating:

Yes, it just hangs there. But if you don't have it in, the spent primers will end up all over.

Last, but not least, add the clear hose so you can see all the spent primers headed down into the trash.

Mine came with adequate assembly instructions plus a parts diagram that showed the relative location of parts and how they fit together. I think you can download one at the Lee website?

Lee instructions do presume a level of mechanical ability that may not be realistic and I admit I did not rely much on their printed stuff and use their videos for set up assistance.

Once you get things sorted out it is a very durable machine that can produce 'about' 50 rounds of safe, reliable and accurate ammo per hour.
