Assorted cartridges (calibers as most would say) to have on hand?

I have had ammo before actually getting the gun, though I didn't plan this. I have and have always had more ammo than guns that chamber them. Again, this was not planned. Sometimes I let go of firearms and still had the ammo.

I don't see anything impractical in this.

Warp I do something similar.

In recent years a lot of calibers still used have been dropped by the manufacturers. I buy it every time I see it, whether I have the gun or not.

As I have said on here before I am not a big shooter, but I have more or less 30-06, 9mm, 12 gauge, and 22lr to do everything I need for the rest of my life.

So now, like my guns, its about collecting. I buy every box of .250 savage, .257 Roberts, 375 Winchester, 300 RUM, etc. that I can find. I consider it small, fun investments that there will always be an easy market for.
