I'm no expert, but doesn't the "ATF" identify themselves as the BATFE? I would think they would have the entire designation on an identifying poster.

BATFE is quite a mouthful; they routinely use just "ATF" in their literature, on their badges, jackets, caps and elsewhere.

There's another picture floating around of the sign with the Molon Labe sticker slapped on it still on the side of the table. I'm guessing it's legit.

The BATF to ATF happened in the early to mid 80s, if I remember right the BATF accidentally shot several people so they became the ATF.

However, since the phrase is Greek, its proper spelling should be with the Greek alphabet.
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

The phrase is Greek, but that doesn't mean the sticker printer had the symbols to write it in Greek.

Alternative spellings

Molon Lave
Molan Labe
Come and Take It

Petty, immature vandalism. Had an anti put an " no assault weapons" sticker on a NRA poster at the same show, folks here would be posting threads about them sinking to new lows. I see no difference between this and shooting holes in those "Property of the U.S. Government" signs that hang on the border of Military Installations. As a lifetime member of the NRA, a Hunter Safety instructor and lifetime firearm enthusiast, I certainly appreciate folks standing up for the 2nd Amendment. Hard for me tho, to comprehend folks pounding the drum of "respect my rights", praising someone for doing just the opposite. Kinda a "Golden Rule'' kinda thingy.

Buck,
I respect what you're saying. Also consider it was a sticker placed on a sign (I assume no damage to the sign) and the ATF is a agency that's purpose, IMO, is to limit our rights through rulings and enforce limitations on our rights imposed by the congress.
