    Check out the link. I got this from a good friend and gunsmith in Austin, Texas. Basically, it states that if a "Smith" substantially modifies your weapon then you are liable for the 11% Federal Exise Tax.

    that's because he posted his angry face too close to the link. Remove it and the link will come up appropriately.

    Ahhh Soooo thanks , I just wanted to see if it was new info or the dust up from a while back on the issue , and if old info is there any update on the situation .
