ATI 1911 Military
.45 cal
Manufactured by SportingArms
Philippines
Retail price at LGS $439

This is a full size 1911.
It came with only one mag . An Act Mag with bumper pad, made in Italy
Matte finish is good with no evidence of tool marks.

It came loaded in grease and was very tight.
Two cleanings and a good lube and it was range ready.

At the range

Mags - The original, one USGI, 4 Kimbers
Ammo 230gr Aquila, 230 gr PMC. 185 gr Corbon
All mags functioned perfectly.
All ammo fed and ejected. No FTE'S, No FTF's.

Mag release was stiff on one mag, fine on all the others.

Accuracy

On a standard 25 yd target set at 21 feet all rounds in the blue with a large raged hole in the ten

Drills
Sighted slow fire.
Draw fire with double and triple tap from a Fobus Kydex paddle.
3 shot runs from picking it up from the bench, strong and off hand.
One mag rapid fire.

Round count.

8 rds x 6 mags = 48 x 2 = 96

Initial impression

A well made, inexpensive 1911 that functioned perfectly out of the box.

Mirrors my experience with theATI GI commander sized model. Great value for the money. Working on getting my ATI Titan to be reliable. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I've gotta a commander size...rough at first but with a fresh polished breech face and leesend extractor tension, and re-profiled ejector AWSOME!!!

Resolved some camera/computer/photobucket issues and here is a pic.
Top is the ATI Military .45, the Stainless one a Taurus PT1911 in 9mm. Both are great but the ATI will be carried more :)

Update;

Put another 50 rounds down range. Used some old sketchy Israeli ammo head stamped TZZ and some old G I ball, and some reloads. Also used a yard sale mag marked J&J .

Again, nary a problem. and some good accuracy as I get better with it.
