I remember first learning about Atlatls at a Native American museum in Delaware as a 4th grader.
But, once again, my teachers missed the opportunity to convey the big picture so we missed the critical tie-ins to organized religion and the evils of taxation!

56 K mo dumb here.
I have made a dozen of these tools all sanded and nice, but everytime I get myself into trouble...
Got a dart caught high in a tree, and then forgot. It came down on the cab of my truck.
Had a real good tosser that would do 150+ on a good day, but on a bad day I got a canoe. By the way that canoe did need killin's done...
Another time I dam near got a buddy's harley parked in the back of my garage, thank the lord for over head yard lights which stopped the dart, but damn near burned the garage down.
On the other hand it would be easier to live after the garage burning the harley up, than it would to have killed it with a 5 foot long dart.
Thank goodness for fuses too!
These darts make arrows seem foolish.
What remains is I find I can't play with this weapon and still be responcible.. Just too much fun.
