We have been trying to source another way to manufacture the MFI
Non-Folding SIG 550/1/2 Style Stock for the SIG USA 556. Cost is much
higher than what we list on the web site as this would be a short run
and made from solid material that is CNC machined. The lower price on
the web site is for 5000+ stocks that would be made from a mold. The
molding shop that was to do this project and the 551 style hand guards
has gone out of business. We can not afford to re-invest another
$80,000.00 in molds.
So here is the deal.
Nothing is set in stone, meaning this is a letter to see if anyone
would be interested. Here are the specifics of the project.
a) Stock would be made from a solid Delrin material which is the only
true black material available. It is 10 times stronger that ballistic
nylon in this application. The finish and texture would be a close
match to the original SIG SANS furniture. Cost of CNC machining on a 5
axis machine is about 8.5 hours, so $$$$. High Quality @ High Prices
Unfortunately….
b) The Butt Pad would Dark Gray Rubber same as on the real SIG SAN
(Swiss) side folding stocks. So super nice quality. These pop on and
off if needed.
c) Price includes the adapter required to mate with the receiver. This
adapter is 100% hidden inside the receiver buffer tube mounting point.
It also includes all mounting hardware.
d) The stock would have all the features and look like the one on the web site:

Due to the high cost of this item we have no intention to carry these
in the hope that we can sell them in the future, i.e. Stock Inventory
Item.
So we would only be making as many as we have orders for.
Assuming we have at least 100 people interested in ordering them the
cost is $325.00.
If we have over 250 customers who what them the cost is $275.00.
Let me know only if you are interested this specific item.
With the Christmas Season and the SHOT SHOW coming in January (Booth
8502) I do not have time to field questions about any other product.
