Was at a gun show over the weekend and bought this 308 ammo (also
available from aimsurplus). It is quite light 144 vs 165-175. I
won't be at the range until June an have some questions for anyone
who has used it.

1. I would like to use it in a M1A. Will it cycle okay?

2. Where can I get ballistic information even just a drop card on
this (and other available ammo like the Portuguese)?

I like it. I shoot Aussie and Port out of my AR 10. Here are the chrono results from my 20" AR10...

Ive been shooting that stuff through my savage 10p and getting a pretty consitant 1/2" @ 100yrds with it. I dont think I have ever shot any surp so consitantly accurate. It shoot's 1-1/2-2" out of my L1A1. To be honest I didnt know it was 144grn though. It seems to have the same point of Impact as the Port and SA stuff out of the L1. Never adjusted the trilux and it seems te be dead on still. I havent shot any other surp. out of the savage; but I'd wager that the SA would be the abysmal and the Port would be so-so. Great stuff but I get the feeling it'll dry up soon.

Aussie 7.62

It's great stuff!! It'll shoot 1-1.5" groups at 100M. in my M-1A and about 2" groups at the same range in the FAL. Buy it cheap and stack it deep cause when it's gone it's gone for good.
