I have recently aquired a Aussie L1A1 imported by Eden Intl, Palm Bay Florida. I believe these were imported in the 80's. The rifle has the Trilux sight, but the red illumination knob is broken off. Otherwise, the rifle is correct and clean. What can I expect as to value?

Zeebrehear, I built my L1A1 from an Aussie kit with a correct inch pattern upper reciever from Entre'prise. I have about $550 in it, and was offered $800 for it, which is nice but I have no interest in selling it. The origional Aussies will command in excess of $2000, mainly due to the fact that very very few came in to the US. I have heard of them being valued up to $5000 if in excellant shape.

You might inquire at www.falfiles.com in the forums and check the value. There are so few of these that not a lot of people will be able to accurately place a dollar value on it. Bottom line is that you have a bit of a collectors item there.

Your L1A1 could be one of the Poyer rifles, which are quite valuable because a very limited quantity were imported. As DougW says, go to the FAL Files.
