I hope this doesn't ruffle anyone's feathers, and let me stress that I am not associated with the seller in any way or form.
International Military Antiques (IMA for short , the folks behind the National Geographic TV channel show "Family Guns") sent out thier weekly email sales flyer this morning and it features two authentic BP revolvers, the Civil War era 1858 Remmie & an 1860 Colt , both of which seem to be priced as though they are quite proud of them, but I thought there are those among us that would appreciate to even just look.

That 1860 is the most expensive wall hanger I've ever seen.
Due to the close inspection that thier website allowed of that 1860, I'd have a real hard time justifying what-ever the price.
Geez, what a battered and ill taken care of cap and ball gun.
It really would be interesting to find out if anyone actually purchased it.
Makes me wonder if it was found in one of those caves in Tibet or where-ever the hell that all those Gahendra Martini-Henry long guns that they're selling came from.

After watching an episode, I bet they gave them a 200% mark up....and with the TV exposure of late, they've probably got a lot of uneducated buyers cruising their site.

I thought there was alot more to the folks at IMA 'til I watched the show. Even ordered a few things from them over the years. Now I wonder how I even got what I ordered. That show makes them look silly.

I accidently came across that show today for the first time.
Bubba said he sold the Fergusson. So why is it still posted on thier sight ?

The 1860 .44 doesn't look too bad, but the price is way off. Some of the screws are buggered, and I wonder about that plumb brown finish, but if the gun's condition is as they describe (bore, function, fit, etc), I'd pay $1000 - $1200.

so what would a pistol like that run? or for that matter a "shootable" 1860
i'd love to one day get one of the modern 1860 offerings, i saw an 1860 behind glass at friendship, dunno if it was real or not but got me wonderin
