Get a full size Glock and install a heavy pound connector with NY1 or NY3 trigger spring. The add-ons will provide you that familiar revolver trigger feel.

Most folks perfer semi-autos because of the additional round count; ten rounds is better than 5-6-7 in a wheel. And if you end up moving out of CA, you can invest in some high capacity magazines-depending on the state you move into.

Good luck with your decision!

The FN P9 or 40 has really struck my fancy lately, otherwise for tacticool, I guess the XD's or MP's aren't a bad way to go now either.

For Caliber I would echo the 9mm or .45 suggestion. If it is just for range then heavy steel would be fun so in 9mm I'd go CZ75, High Power or Sig 226, in Polymer M&P or XD or a G34 if you like Glocks. For .45 maybe the Sig 220 or even Ruger, and in polymer XD45 5", M&P45 or the more expensive HK. You have a tough decision and a fun decision to make, so many guns and so little time/money.
Good Luck and Be Safe!

My pistols are used exclusively for concealed carry self defense.. I like Glocks best because they are simple and reliable...
