Most Reliable Auto Pistol

The most reliable semi-autos that I've owned over the past fifty years or so are: Smith & Wesson third generation pistols, the Beretta Model 92FS, the Sig Model 226 and the SIG model 220-and, yes, with the milled s/s slide and internal extractor.

Complete disassembly is intimidating until you've done it once before. After that initial plunge, it's not bad at all. :) That said, the sear assembly on the decocker models still takes a bit of time for me to put back together, haha.

I've heard it can take 3 hands to get one back together. I'll have to buy a beater 75B that I won't mind if it takes me extra time to get back together.

The striker fired polymer pistol is the most reliavle design in my experience. Glock, Xd, M&P, etc. They're all about equally reliable I think, most will go thousands of rounds, if not tens of thousands, without cleaning, in harsh conditions, without malfunctioning. No they're not sexy or stylish or "manly", but they just work.
