Auto Ordnance/Kahr 1911 any good??

Just happened to read about this 1911 clone.

Anyone have one or have personal experience with it? Are they as good as the Springfield G.I. or a Norinco?

i have one, but it may not be a good example of the breed. i bought mine used and it seems to have been abused. i had a 'smith check it up and he replaced the barrel and tuned the extractor. the thumb safety sticks badly, the slide stop notch is rounded off. it doesn't run very well, but i hope to fix that with better mags. it is more accurate than i have any right to expect. that said, i've read that the qc is better on auto ordnance products now than it used to be and they moved their production facility. if this is the case than the auto ordnance pistol you linked to should be a very good deal. personally, i intende to buy the sprinfield gi model.
