I'm wanting to duplicate the M193 NATO load but for the life of me I cannot find 55gr FMJ-BT with a Cannelure .224 bullets in stock anywhere. Is this typical? I've looked at Midway, Sinclair, Natchez, and a couple others.

This is for my Colt 6920 16" M4 style AR-15. Is there any other acceptable bullet to try?

I just shot my first Multigun match over the weekend and picked up easily 500-700 once fired LC (+) NATO brass. But I'm not going to buy dies and a shellplate and a case headspace gauge if the primary component is not readily available, I'll just buy loaded Fed XM193 ammo with the money for now instead.

Any thoughts on the bullets guys? Thanks.

Your going to have a hole lot better shot with 62gr bullets in lieu of 55 since it is my understanding that the military uses the 62 grain now. Try this site rmrbullets.com for pulled surplus at good prices.

They are in stock at Wideners, and not a bad price if you buy a case of 6,000 Hornady 55-gr FMJBT WC
