Aviator Gloves?

What's so ultimately tactical about these? I saw some other gloves I liked, but they don't have them in extra-small. I have extra small paws (girl sized), even if I can wield my fatso Beretta and USPs around, I still need tiny gloves.

I think the aviator gloves (with the funny stripe down the web of the hand) come in XS and maybe I can get a black one w/ a white stripe? Twotone

Nothing tactical about them if you're thinking of true aviators gloves versus something advertised in RamboTactical, unless you consider flame resistance tactical

They're basically just Nomex gloves to cover what the flightsuit doesn't.

They offer a lot of advantages - lightweight, not too hot to wear, they allow a lot of dexterity, & don't greatly change your grip on a weapon. Plus, when things get sweaty, you don't have to worry about slippage.

I've got a pair of black ones I've had for 6 years or so - they pull duty for everything in mild cold weather. It's nice to be able to pick up change while wearing gloves.

Wont have the tactical black with white stripe but will come in standard issue green.

I use them because they fulfill a light glove requirement. I suppose the flame (flash really) protection might be useful, but since I cut the tips of the fingers off anyway, that usefulness will be limited. They've heavy enough in the palm to protect your hand, and light enough in the material to not be too hot in temperate weather.

Having said that, I'll also add that I've been happier with the 'cheap' GI models more than I have with Blackhawk's offering--Blackhawks version has a much thinner nomex material on the back of the hand, which might help with heat dissipation, but I've found it gets holes poked in it fairly easily in the field by snagging on bushes, ground debris or sharp corners of weapons.

A decade ago while serving in the U.S. armed forces "Tactical" units used them because they went along with the same reason for the nomex suits. Just another added layer of protection. Also the color worked well in the field obvioulsy because of the "green tactical" color,and being that they are pilots gloves they are made so that you can manipulate small devices like a switch in a cockpit or used to squeeze a trigger real well. In this regard they make good shooting gloves. Nothing really special about them though.
