I wonder which draft that's from. If it's current that's fantastic. She's got the Mini-14 on there! The more she throws in the list the better chance it will go nowhere.

I wonder how many crimes have been committed with belt-fed semi-automatics?

It's in about page 3 or 4 of Justin's thread on the bill being announced today.

Bear in mind this is just a "hard" list. All the firearms that will be banned because they possess a "Feinsteinish" cosmetic or other feature, will be banned, that is not on the list.

The banned list will include hundreds of rifles, shotguns, pistols, military relics, accessories, and others too numerous to mention. That hard copy list is only the tip of the iceberg, and a very small tip at that.

What lies beneath those pages is the worst anti-2nd amendment gun-grab in the history of the United States. A huge affront to law-abiding citizens in this country. A direct attack on the Constitution of the United States, and a 20 year personal agenda that Feinstein has pursued, to completely disarm the citizens of this country.

I will fight Feinstein and her lackeys through my elected representatives. We talk of treating mental illness in this country, to reduce murderous maniacs' carnage, but I propose Ms. Feinstein step to the front of the line to receive her meds., as she is the problem, not the solution, to violence in the United States. Her supporters may lineup behind her for their share of sanity salts as well.

Only in the "Tactical Rifle" configuration.

Still, it baffles me that it, the Hi Point Carbine, Kel-tec Sub-2000, Steyr AUG and a Beretta CX4 Storm are listed under "AR-type" rifles.

Really strange is that the Kel-tec SU16 is on the list, despite it not having ANY of the "evil" features - no pistol grip, no carry handle, no bayonet lug, no flash hider, no collapsible stock, and no barrel shroud.

Its literally there because they figure it looks like it ought to be.

And I bet that list is complete yet. That's just the 1st proposed draft.

Do we have a bill number yet? Want to call/write all my congress critters, but waiting for a specific bill to oppose. More productive that way.

What is the source of this list? No offense, but that looks like someone typed that up at home and took a picture of it.

Awesome! I'm glad they included just about eveything they could think of- it makes it all the more likely to fail.

Aren't street sweepers / striker 12's already considered/(registered as) destructive devices?

Yeah I'm also wondering how many times the M82A1 has been used in a crime.

Isn't this also the same crap she cannot even pass in her own blue state?

That is amazing. Knowing all the features they hate, this rifle is none of them. Proof that they're out for all the low hanging fruit...and soon enough they'll use a ladder for the rest.

The Hi Point Carbine has ONE evil feature: A pistol grip. Even that can be modified to have NO evil features.

Presumably all AK and AR types would give discretionary authority to a regulatory agency presumably the ATF to determine what was and was not an AR or AK and hence banned.
Which could mean new compliant models could be deemd banned.

At some point in the future it could even be abused and used to declare things that are not an AR or an AK type are an AR or an AK type.
The list itself even gives credibility to that through examples of ARs that are certainly not ARs.

It certainly is, and just shows if they could pass such a thing they would be back for what became popular to replace what was banned within a matter of time. It would get amended and add the new specific firearms.

High point carbines, SU-16, it would be just a matter of time before mini 14, m1a and similar firearms were added as well.
The mini-14 was already heading that way during the last AWB, and was included as an assault weapon in some regional and localized assault weapon laws.

If the legislation was able to divide and conquer over time by reducing ownership and a strong culture they could go for the big prize at some point: semi autos in general.
