I love tiger stripes!

All nice but I'll vote for 4.

Is that in the wood, or was that done to the wood? If done to the wood, how?

Thanks for posting.

Holy cow, are you kidding me? Those are so incredible looking.

How about a little back story here. Are they all yours, did you buy those stocks somewhere, refinish them? I see selector cut outs on all, and a cartouche on at least one. Are they G.I.?

Very nice. I'd like to hear more about what make receiver, barrel, and the furniture you used.

We don't see too many M14s these days. The M1A is much more prevalent.

WOW, that my friend was better than porn. I would be happy to own any one of those pretty rifles. Thank you.

Gorgeous! Why can’t I find wood like that?! :cuss: I only see it in pictures or on some else’s rifle. This is the best piece of M1 GI beech wood I ever saw, and of course, it was someone’s rifle.

Drool spots were wiped off before pictures were taken. :(

I'm confused. They're M-1A's, right? No selector switch, just cutout for them in military-configured stocks. And there are 4 guns there -- 2 pictures each in different poses, right!?

Nice!!
I love the flame on that stock!! Nice piece of wood!!

thanks. yeah, flame is the right word. stock#1 literally looks like it is on fire! it's my hot rod with flames for sure. the holographic stripes also flicker and move at different angles in the sunlight.

it is in the wood. you can't really fake "striping". some have tried with putting a flame torch to their stock, but it jut looks like burnt wood. real striping is a holographic illusion that is in the grain of the wood and shifts and moves with the direction of the light. these stock and handguard sets appear to be cut from the same piece of wood, but the stocks are 40+ years old and the handguards were custom matched.

well.....obviously they are civilian M14s. they are Springfield M1A Standards. all the stocks are original GI stocks that i have collected over the years. the handguards are all bran new, custom made to look like they came from the same block of wood. Tony at LAW483 Enterprises is the guy that did the custom handguards for me. he really did an amazing job. in some areas it looks like he matched the upper and lower, stripe for stripe. ya'll should check out his website. he does all kinds of custom M14, M1 Garand stocks ect.
