Basically it is take the class, pass the test, shoot 80 percent at the range, get finger printed, and fill out the application (all in a one day session). Then mail off the application and finger prints along with a cashiers check and wait 2 weeks.

Simple. Requirements are posted at the link below.

Just one of the many instructors available.

I highly recommend you take the CCL class offered by this school. They really go above and beyond to make sure you understand the laws involved and they are really great instructors. I've taken all of the classes they offer, some of them more than once. I know that people come from all over the State to take their classes, so you may want to consider this one even if you have drive a bit to get there.

If you go to the link "advanced courses" you can see what else they offer. All their advanced courses are fantastic follow-ups after you get your CCL

Let me be the first to welcome you to the free State of AZ, you'll discover you now have rights you never knew you had!;)

Howdy darjo,

You'll like AZ. Having escaped California years ago, I can tell you it will be a breath of fresh air to you. Unless you inhale the infamous "brown cloud" that floats over the Phoenix area during cooler weather.

Many folks here take pride in owning/carrying items that would make Feinstein/Schumer/Kennedy quake in their loafers. CCW is common, and fairly easy to do.

darjo,
NOI, but please come to AZ with an open mind and willingness to adopt Az. Live with us, do not ask us to adapt to you. I.E. leave Kaliforina and the left coast attitude behind you. You will be much happier and so will we. Much of what gets under our skin in Az migrated from places others were escaping from.

And by the way, welcome to the semi-free state of Az!
