Back into the revolver habit in a big way

Made the mistake of walking into Scheels the other day and seeing they'd got themselves a bunch of Pythons in every barrel length. Made a second mistake and asked to see one, and then made the fatal mistake of dry-firing it.

Promptly went home and sold eight knives today and raised enough for this handsome piece, rushed back to grab it and then had to agonize over the 6" vs. the 4" and decided on the 6" since it'll only ever be a 25-yard target gun for me. These have fine triggers and the stainless finish is gorgeous. Grips aren't shabby, either.

My girlfriend offhandedly mentioned the other day that she'd like to shoot a revolver, so I figured, might as well start her on a revolver.

For a range gun, 6" is better, imho.

That is a fine looking revolver and I am lusting over one pretty bad. I just got a great deal on a Ruger Match Champion, so that set me back a bit.

I definitely have one in my future. I hope you enjoy that revolver and give us an update once you shoot it.

I think you made a good choice on the 6-incher. To me, that's where full loads really come into their own.
