For those with an AMT Back Up .45, no way to carry it and no concern over how goofy it looks...

So amongst a pile of stuff that I agreed to buy in order to get some firearms were two "Sneaky Pete" holster-like-oddball-belt-purse-metrosexual-carry devices. The one marked for the M&P Shield 9mm seems to be a perfect fir fir the AMT micro .45 of mine.

For what these things are - they're very well made though I would need a trigger finger cut-out to make it really practical. The security with which the pistol is held is not done justice by the photo. Very snug. As long as the quality magnetic closure is not compromised while being jarred or inverted, the pistol is not going to escape. Clearly though - this is no tactical alternative so I think it probably hits the design parameters square in the middle. For the techni-kewel types out there like my brother in law, this would be near invisible on his Batman/IT-commando gear belt.

While I doubt that I'll use it - much, it does give me another target to shoot for in a concealed carry option for my Back Up... "Shield" holsters.

I’ve noticed a few of those Sneaky Pete type holsters wandering around in stores. They seem to stand out like a sore thumb, at least to me. Don’t know if it’s because of the size or because I know what they are. I’m still trying to decide if it’s concealed or open carry, not that it matters here in the free state of Arizona.

Yup. They are monster large and in fact - as far as I'm concerned - actually draw attention. I can't help but wonder "how friggin' big is that guy's phone?" I doubt that it'll be worn but it covers me in AZ for not "brandishing" while sitting in the open in a car or in an open bag.

im sure theyre nice and functional, but i just dont see wearing a box on my belt, that BTW doesnt seem to really fit most devices worn or carried today, ie smart phone, etc. Therefore causing people to look and try to figure out what the heck has that guy got? MAybe thats the mentality here since ya cant see anything discernible? Dunno
For the guy that hates pocket carry or doesnt like jackets and ponchos:D
