I always wanted to have a rifle that I could fit in to my Osprey 70 pack. This will most likely be used on my buddys land to shoot at tree stumps but I dont want to just carry it in my hands all day. I got a golani for this purpose but it has an 18" barrel and even folded (29"), its just about 3" to 4" too long. I want to stick with .223 if at all possible and I want to stay with all the rules and regulations that the government imposes.
What other recommendations would you all make short of going with a bull-pup design? I shoot left handed so that just wouldn't work for me. Something about getting hit in the ear with a super hot cartridge.
Thanks!
