Being a lefty, I'm going to suggest learning to shoot with the weak hand. I have had to use my weak hand to shoot many times over my time shooting handguns, and have gotten very proficient. I would tend to think if I HAD to convert the use the other hand on a permanent basis, it would not take more than a year to become as good as the strong hand. In your case, it might even be mandatory to do so, in order to get to the level of competency that you desire. It will be awkward ad first, of course, but work at it, and see where you are in a month or two. Then figure that the skill level will be 5-6 times as good in the following 10 months.
