Pedersoli makes a truly beautiful reproduction Rogers and Spencer .44 as well as 1858 Remington. They're pricey but you'll never have to buy another. Uberti makes fine repros. Pietta gets better every year. The only problem I have experienced with the Pietta guns is with the flat spring on the back of the hand. After the second one broke I had my gunsmith replace the springs on all of my Pietta guns with one's he made from flattened out piano wire that he swore would last for the life of the owner. No problem ever since. The brass frame guns are great for re-ennactment or light shooting but they seem to alway's eventually get loose around the cylinder pin socket and that can get real dangerous.
