I was present when the same ammo was tested and results were far different.

Also note this was apparntly a bare jello test. Could make a difference.

Likewise, I continue to be skeptical of all manufactures who market +P ammunition for the .40 Smith and Wesson as last time I checked, there was no official guidelines for such sanctioned by SAAMI.

Seriously people, if you want that kind of performance from a .40 cal, get yourself a 10mm Auto. It is easier to download a 10mm to .40 specs than it is to try load a .40 to 10mm Auto specs. Just a thought...

Cor-Bon does not market or label their .40S&W as +P. the box is marked with bullet wieght and velocity. i think they claim 1325 fps on the box. sounds pretty close with appropriate barrel length.

The box does not say +P, that is my mistake. The velocities were registered by a chronograph with three skyscreens, so I would assume that they are accurate.

With regard to the concerns about the penetration of this round, I would say that ammunition selection is as unique as the individal buying it. I don't know, some people prefer high velocity lightweight rounds over medium or heavy rounds at moderate velocities. Some people also like Toyota better than Chevrolet... Or (I will chance it ... ) .45ACP vs. 9mm vs. ...
