I just can't resist a real gun bargain! Saw a Boito O/U 12 ga , like new all shiny next to the Win 101's ect for $125!! I checked it out and it looks almost unfired. I need it like another hole in my head, but I have a son on Hawaai who would like it I'm sure(the other son took my Berretta Silver snipe)for playing over there.

I posted this on a wireless lap top while trying to get a few minutes for lunch. When I got home I searched and found Jaegermeisters comment:"Boito is a Brazilian made shotgun, imported by several companies in the USA during the 1970's. They look pretty good, however, the inner parts are generally stamped parts, and the tensil strength is minimal and wear out easily. In most cases, that I have run accross, the parts had to be fit to the specific gun. Real headache.

Not much collector value on these guns. Inexpensive and don't last long." Well I hope not, I just pulled the trigger unit partially apart, and while hand filing was evident, I didn't find any stamped parts except the forend latch. This gun is from the 70's, looks sharper than the Russian guns less thn $500, alot of nice machineing and only(thank G-d) 2 3/4 chambers, imported by "Thor". I think it will survive infrequent rounds of trap or clays or pheasant. I will use it as a 'loaner' or butcher the uncut stock down to 12"Lop to break in the kiddies (with light loads).:)
