Quit making fun...

That's totaly accurate.

The early production M16-A2's had that front sight position for volley fire, especialy designed for guarding the Fulda Gap against Warsaw Pact forces in the early 80's... :D

It was discontinued as a cost cuting measure when the M1 Abrams, and the neutron bombs in SRBM's out of Ramstien AFB came on line.

No, really... ;)

It probably has to do with trademark/copywrite infringement issues. I have an AK47 and a M9 airsoft gun (Not pieces of junk like that springer there) and they all have changes made to them in order to be different than their real life counterparts. If you have ever bought an airsoft gun from overseas, you would know the strict rules and regulations against infringing on trademarks. The boxes will the names of the gun cut out of them, logo's hidden with epoxy or sanded off completely, and other various things. They enforce this strictly too, I know two people who have had their airsoft guns held by customs because of tiny infringements. Personally, I think it's just excess legislation designed to destroy the sport, but there you go. That front sight thing seems like the same sort of deal, expecially because they include the tool for sight adjustment. With a piece of crap like that it's surprising you get anything with it.

Right. $2.99 for the gun, and $19.99 for shipping. Makes it a $22.98 airsoft gun to me, just about what most other places charge for a spring powered rifle. Big bargain.
