Hello
I live in the peoples republic of California where i have been hog hunting for the past 30 years. Now it seems i have to use solid copper in the area I hunt in. I just ordered a box of Barnes XPB 225 gr. to use in a Marlin 94 cowboy chambered for .45 colt. I have used this rifle for the past 6 years with great success, loaded with 265 gr LBT cast bullets and H110. As im now forced to use copper only and these bullets are $19.00 bucks for a box of 20 + shipping, I cant afford to play around with different powders. I have found 5 loads on Loaddata.com and I do have 2400, H110, VV110, AA9, 4227 both kinds Unique and Blue dot. I am kind of hoping someone out there has had good results with any of the above and have a good charge weight that shot well for them to give me a good baseline. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Just send Barnes an email and list your bullet and gun, I've done it on several of their bullets because their load manual is very lacking. The guy sent me a load sheet with several different powders to use. Why they put it in manual is the $60k question.
