Hello, just picked up a 460 and loaded up some of the Barnes 200 gr XPB's using H110. I also picked up some Barnes 275gr XPB's and can't find much info on load data. Checked Hodgdon's web site and they don't list the 275 grainers.. Checked the Barnes site and they have load data using "Enforcer" and "No. 9". Problem is I've got a bunch of H110 and 'Lil Gun. Just curious if anybody is loading the 275's and can point me in the right direction.. Thanks, Kevin

I also reload for the 460 but have never reloaded the XPB's. I looked around and came up empty handed for an answer to that question. I would think that the XPB beeing an all copper bullet is probably longer then other similar weight bullets so mabye try starting at around the 300 grain charge starting loads. But i have no idea calling hogdon would probably be the best bet.

Lyman's 49th edition shows 36gr as a start and 38.2gr as max with the 275gr Barnes XPB using H110/W296. Large Rifle Magnum primer and a OAL of 2.300''.

I would start maybe a grain above the recommended H110/Win. 296 loads for 300 gr. bullets.

You probably know this, but you'll need a very good crimp to keep the bullets from moving under recoil. In fact, it's had to apply an adequate roll crimp without crushing the case. For this reason, I had a custom Lee Factory Crimp Die made.

On another forum, there was a discussion on the use of Lil' Gun in Freedom Arms revolvers. The owner of Freedom Arms chimed in to the discussion and said the heat of ignition of this powder was likely to ruin the barrel in fairly short order so I will never use this powder.
