I was thinking about reloading some of these 62 grain bullets for my CVA Optima Elite 1:10 twist 243 and was wondering if any of y'all had any stabilization problems with that twist. I don't want to reload a bunch of bullets I cant shoot accurately. Any tips or powder selections I should know about, I was reading that people were having trouble with the IMR-4350 and this particular bullet. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I have a 1:10 Winchester 70 that stabilizes 55 grain nosler Federal factory ammo perfectly. Twist should be OK. Not sure about the powder.......

You could always load a dozen or so and give them a try, redneck2's advice is spot on, the guys at Varminthunters are a good and knowledgeable bunch, however to really know what your particular boomstick will do....your going to have to try it.

Let us all know what you find!

I've heard a LOT of horror stories about these being hard to stabilize in .223's and 22-250's. I believe BArnes reccommends a 1-8 or better.

They darn sure splatterfy everything they touch though.
