Barrel mounted, electromagnetic chronograph

Rifles, fixed barrel pistols, muzzle loaders, and shotguns...

Still need a standard chrony if you're a semi-auto shooter, and snubbys lose out too, not enough barrel to mount it on.

Cool for those of us who enjoy 4"+ revolvers :D
 
Mark, that is a pretty need looking contraption, but it is within a 1/4" of the muzzle. What about powder burns, and the accumulation of unburnt powder, I'm certain that would have some affect on the accuracy of the chronograph. I'm being a bit skeptical, but correct me if I'm wrong.:scrutiny:
 
Gnarly! But I can tell you right now that my Freedom Arms .454 Casull revolver will flip that thing right off on the first shot.
