If I were to get an FN SPR complete action, how hard would it be and what tools/equipment would I require to barrel it?

Never done this before and I'm considering my first build for a bolt action rifle.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

a lathe, headspace gages, and a finish chamber reamer to start.

IME barrels for bolt-actions are usually short chambered. Any barrel to do an SPR action justice will definitely be short-chambered. You need to torque the barrel on, check the headspace, and ream the chamber to fit.

You will need to get yourself a gunsmith also. That isn't really a shade tree mechanic type of project. The equipment to do that job properly will cost more than having a gunsmith do fifty of them for you.

Now if it is a Savage action, that is a different story.
