this is awesome

companies that make statements like this are those that will get my business when it comes to firearms purchases going forward.

thanks for sharing.

Intentionally violating constitutional rights by officials that have sworn to uphold them should have severe prison sentences.

This is a profoundly true sentiment and probably the only thing that will ever end the non-stop assault on the Bill of Rights.

That's great. He still needs to move his business out of Cali to a free state though. I'm sure Texas and other states would welcome his business.

As if Barrett didn't already give you enough reasons to love them they go and do something that makes you fall in love all over again!

Damn! Things like this just choke you up.

I can't afford a Barrett, nor do I have use for one ... but if they ever start producing something semi-auto in 556 or 762, lemme know. Even if it's an AR type, I'd buy one to support them for this.

How'bout it Barrett? Build my first AR-15.

Seriously though, they have a point. Remember Volkswagen getting sued in the EU for profiting from slave labor during WWII? More than half a century later! People who profit from willing assistance to human rights violators WILL be brought to book. (Somebody wake Armalite, please)

We need Glock and S&W to do this too. They might start really feeling it then.

We need MAJOR AMMO MANUFACTURERS to do this. By all accounts the DHS are buying ammo despite having a 1.6 billion round reserve, and federal orders take precedence over sales to the public. Yet I have heard no outcry against ammunition manufacturers. Anyone have an (informed) opinion about the size of the public market for ammo relative to the feds?

BTW, I'll find a way to send business Barrett's way, if I can. Thank goodness for Ronnie Barrett.

It just doesnt make sense. If all manufacturers refused to contract with any of the NY's agencies, as well as ammo manufacturers, the law would be scrapped immediately. It would be nice if the only ones in the state who COULD get a gun were the citizens. NY would change its tune then.

Barrett does make AR15's. Piston operated I believe, and when you can get one they are on par with LaRue and a little below most LWRC rifles price-wise. Somewhere around the $2,500 range from what I have seen.

Also,

If the capitol police and guards there were left without anything, it would REALLY change.

I paid $1770 for my REC7.

they make a nice 6.8 AR

We will see who truly steps up to the plate when NYPD renews is contracts to purchase new duty sidearms. Manufacturers may need to consider public backlash when they sell firearms to an oppressive government like the NYPD. I, for one, won't be purchasing from any manufacturer who does business with the state of NY. Of course I would expect them to honor current contracts regardless but as far as making new ones? I'll stand by that statement.

I think when the time comes we need to let the manufacturers know we are watching them.

Definitely, if all the US arms and ammo manufacturers shut down sales to police and state/federal agencies in any city or state that even mentions an infringement on 2A, all this would end immediately. Would save a lot of time and money and put the tax paid politicians back to work instead of wasting our time and money. And I just HAD to chuckle at the thought of BO running around for the next 4 years with unarmed SS.

And no, BO is not body odor and SS is not Schutzstaffel...or is it?
