I searched all over but did not find a decent fix for the problem I had with my new 38 spl SAA clone. Neat little revolver.
Couldn't find one so I am posting what I did for anyone else who may have this problem down the road.
So after getting it, like all my firearms, I tried to break it down for inspection and cleaning.
The two stage safety / fire position was stuck in the fire position. I could not remove the pin. I could not move it forward or back and I was :banghead:

So I oiled it up with MPpro7 gun oil. Let it sit. Still nothing.
I got the idea to try moving the pin with the cylinder in different positions.
I had the hammer half cocked and the gate open. Finally I got it to go from safety / fire positions. There seemed to be two cylinders that were more loose than the rest for moving the pin.
The base pin extends into the hammer area when it is pushed in fully to the second stop.
The hammer strikes the protruding portion of the pin and therefore the primer in a cartridge ( and firing pin) cannot be struck.
I fiddled around for an hour. I have a blister on my thumb! Lots of oil.

THE FIX!
Finally, I tried holding in the cylinder release button with the pin in the safety position, fully cocked, I dry fired the revolver and the pin flew forward and free from the force of the hammer.
I then polished the pin and used a .22 caliber brush with polish in the bushing hole. The bushing is much thinner than in a larger clone like a Uberti Cattleman has. I don't know if this kind can be removed in the Jr pistol.
It almost look like it is pressed in there.
I sprayed Balistol in the bushing hole and used Q-tips to clean out any polish grit. I oiled it up again really well.
There are two notches on the base pin.
I think it is important to insert the pin with the notches facing down.
I put it all back together after the cleaning and hoped for the best.
Comes in and out easy as pie now.
So I hope this helps somebody else down the road. Worked for me.
