Given the choices, I'm afraid I'd have to vote Michael Badnarik. JK, Kimber out of the given ones, but only because of the excellent experiences I've had with the brand in the past.

I did try a friend's Colt 91, and found myself tappin and rackin at least once every other magazine. Could have been a wide variety of factors including cleaning and maintenance, or a lemon from the factory (which every company occasionally has). Still, it left a bad taste in my mouth for the more modern Colt pistols.

I own the Para Ordnance Carry 12 and it's so-so ... nothing to really write home about and nothing to really complain too much about either. I can't speak about the other models listed as I do not have any personal experience with them.

I just have to ask how you hang on to one of these little cannons?

I bought a Kimber Ultra a few years ago and was astonished at how impossible it was for me to get off a second shot with any accuracy. The little monster had so much kick and so little grip that I just could not control it.

I sold it a week after getting it!

You guys all got gorilla wrists?? :D

None of the above. H&K USPc var2 if you're left handed. Varient 1 if you're not. SIG, is another fine carry gun.

For warm weather carry G27 in cold weather Sig 229. I've owned Kimbers and Colts. Wouldnt have a Kimber unless its a Series 1. Neither one are as reliable as the Glock are Sig 229. The G27 and Sig 229 both function perfectly with Golden sabers and Hydro shoks. Cant go wrong with either one. I love the 1911/1991 style 45 but not for a carry gun. Funny thing is I held a SA GI 45 micro combat today and I might have to go pick one up just to try and see if it can be made reliable enough for carry. A carry gun HAS to go bang everytime NO questions. 1911/1991 style (any brand) guns are ammo/mag picky. Takes alot of time figuring out your ammo/mag to gun to make it a good carry gun also alot of time from a good 1911 gunsmith. I can not think of any brand 1911 style 45 that I'd carry out of the box. Then add the short barrel to it. Shorten the barrel and you make a 1911/1991 style gun even less reliable. For carry there are alot of guns out there that will shoot everytime for less money. Take the Glock 27 are if you just want the 45 rnd G30. Ugly as a car load of crushed as??oles but extremely reliable. I'm not a glock fan at all but I own one for a glove box carry gun. Theres just no denyng that it'll go bang every time.
