I just got back from taking my girlfriend shooting for the first time. I started her off with a browning .22 and then a .38 S&W. Finally while she was banging away with the .38 I decided it was time to try out my new Glock 19. I'm having a blast with it. She gets curious and asks to try it. Now I've got to wait another month to buy another one. She decided the Glock would be great for her apartment. I guess now she'll stop whining about me always stopping at gun stores.

well done!

Yep, that's one heckuva to break the ice on their attitude towards guns. :)

Your just out a Glock. I'm fairly certain that if I don't pay really close attention, I might loose a Kimber CDP!

3Screw;

Well, look at it this way: It's highly probable that she's a keeper and. Traditionally the bride picks up most of the costs of a wedding, and. You get the 17 back (sorta), and. The bride's gift to the groom might as well be - - - - aw, you guessed.

There ARE worse scenarios you know.

One Glock 19?
Current girl took my P22 before I even shot it .:(

My ex took 2 Colt 1991's ,one of which was a nine,my sks, my PPK/s,my pre64 94.:(, and my Mossy 500.

Prenups are your friend.

My wife somehow took ownership of my Colt Python. Now I have to ask her permission to shoot it. I'm still not sure how it happened.

I remember when I took an Australian gal shooting for the first time. The damn socialist darned near wrote the 2nd Amendment when we were though. An man was she ever a keeper.....:p

I am an Austalian guy and I was dating an Australian girl. I was looking for a reason to buy a Beretta 92FS. We went to the range and I had her try out a bunch of handguns for size, I steered her towards the 92, which to my surprise she liked, as she could operate all the controls one handed. So I turned to the guy behind the counter, said "We'll take it" and pulled out a wad of cash.

GF turned to me with bright shining eyes and said "Thankyou!"

Bah!

I bought my own one later. Having grown more mature, now I don't need an excuse, I just buy what I want because I want it.

Women get away with it because most of us men are pu**y whooped !!!!!

I tend to think that everytime I see a thread title like: "my wife let me buy a" or "had to sneak it past the wife"

Pretty much an everyday occurrence around here.

puke, puke :barf:

jeez grow a sack, LoL

lenny joe, I'm starting to think you're right. Pre-nups are a great idea. I should just be happy I didn't take my hi-power or something I couldn't replace. :banghead:

Took my girlfriend (now wife) to the range to show her that guns were not
these evil metal things. We had a blast:p with everything from 22's to
45cal. I told her that I was going for my CCW training. She wanted to
go to:eek: . There were 10 people in the class and she out shot 8 of them:what:
I had a friend with a Glock 19. We all went to the range one weekend and
now I can't get anything UNTIL she has HER Glock 19! She does have a
Beretta 85F that she loves, but she still wants HER Glock.
It could be worse. Both her sisters are anti. Her Father and I get along
great because he is a shooter too, but had never taken her to the range.
Their mother would not allow it. Sorry mom, your little girl has grown
up and is armed and safe now when I'm not there!

P.S, Yes I'm saving up for HER Glock 19. I hope to have in by midsummer.

Guilty as charged, but I think that only applies to those of us who are happily married, or at least happily monogamous.

My HiPower suffered the same fate. Of course, now she wants her own rig so she can come to IDPA matches with me.

Dragon what is it with women and the G 19?:D I don't have a problem with her having one of mine, but I would have liked to get more than two mags through it for what it cost me.

HE JUMPS

hehe, thats ok, my GF just gave me the go ahead to go 2nd safe shopping. Care to guess where she said it will go most likely...... IN THE BEDROOM:what:HE SHOOTS

Cause she said get one big enough that we dont need to trade this one in. I then said well, eventually ill have enough to put in there, and she came back and said what class 3 are you thinking about, so I said I would most likely get an M16 lower over the MP5 since I would be able to shoot different caliber and be able to slap different uppers, so now we started saving for one:neener: HE SCORES

Definately keeping this one
