Got the lead out. Wasn’t much.

Pretty sure at this point the loads in the specials were light enough that the .430s didn’t obturate in the rifle but did in the revolver. Also, the lead in the cowboy Specials must have been softer so they obturated and shot straight in the rifle despite being undersized. And that’s also why the same undersized bullets didn’t give me problems in the magnum cartridges.
Lesson learned.


Fit is way more important with low power loads.
