The bear was in Shock that someone would be stupid enough to shoot at him with a single-shot black powder .44 muzzle loader.

And he was in awe of the huge smoke cloud.

Either that, or he really wasn't charging, there really wasn't a bear, and this guy is a lier.

Man I love black powder pistols, for shooting at cans and paper.

They invented smokeless and modern cartridges for a reason. It could just be me, but if I'm going to shoot at a big bear I think I'd want something more akin to a .44 mag, or a .454.

If I am faced with a black bear I'll do what I did last time it happened, I'll yell at it and it will turn tail and run.

We won't even get into the semantics of whether or not the Kodiak is a grizzly bear.

Some manufacturers will do anything to sell their stuff.

It just happened to soccumb to all the mercury in the salmon. It would have died then and there without the pistol.

Hey come on, this guy stopped a bear with his muzzle loader and had someone casually standing by with a camcorder so he could post it on You Tube? Perhaps those mercury laced salmon are causing the odor!
