Anybody got any hints or tips for bedding lever actions?
Specifically the 1895. I have the cowboy with the long octagonal barrel and a guide gun.
I read about using rtv sealant on the forearm. Any ideas on keeping the stock clean when applying the resin? How about keeping resin away from the hammer spring?
Stock through bolt- is it possible to put a fitting on the stock tang screw that would accept the bolt coming in trough the back of the stock?
Any specific tips on relieving stress in the mag tube area?
Would anyone give a review of the McPherson?
Both of these guns shoot well, just trying to make them better. Particularly want to make the stock and reciever area stronger.
