The title tells the tale. I was shocked to discover a small section of my bore in the Win 52B sporter I bought in 93. New to me, Miroku model. Sweetest shooting 22 I have ever had. I just bought the Teslong borescope to finally get a look at all my bores. I had zero firecracking and only some baked on carbon in just some of my bores. Happy days. The rust, though amplified by who knows what the magnification was, scared the crap out of me. I grabbed the JB Bore paste and Kroil and went to work. 15 minutes later the rust was removed and did hardly any etching to the bore, simple surface rust. I would advise getting this inexpensive borescope so you can finally see what the condition of your bores are. It was revealing to say the least. The rust was 1.5 inches from the crown. My desiccants were expired so I renewed them. That might be where the moisture came from and its Florida. Also spend the extra money for the additional mirror set so you can use the scope in everything up to 45 cal. You can use the scope without them but its so much easier to use the right size mirror. I bought the rigid scope, Win52BAfter rust.jpg Win52BBefore rust.jpg and it works in pistols and rifles.
