Behind the neck or over the head?

I have two pair Howard Leight over the head electronic muffs. When wearing a hat, the seal between muffs and head isn't always that good.

I've been looking at the Sordin Pro-X behind the neck muffs. Are they a superior design/brand for hearing protection in a hunting scenario?

With equal fit, the over the top will likely be quieter, but if you get a good seal from behind the neck and not from top, it is the way to go.

Sordin has great electronics but the Supreme X NRR is only 26 dB which is why they post SNR which gives a bigger number at 31 dB.

Put a couple of foam puffs in your ear canals and that should compensate for the lower protection of the behind the head muffs.
