I have the #5's in 3 or 4 guns and don't use the locking pin at all. I like them because they are much easier to grasp and remove and I like the way they look. Mine have all fit and worked well as received. I think there was one that I had to take a couple of swipes with emory cloth to get it to fit...took all of 30 seconds to do it. I ordered 2 for my USFA's after talking to Kelye about what size to get and they fit perfect upon receipt.
