I am just recently back to reloading and have a basic bench going. Rock Chucker and an RCBS powder thrower.
I am having a minor issue with static cling in the powder thrower hopper. The thrower is delivering consistent weights but when I am done after I return the powder to the jug there is probably .1g of powder clinging to the inside of the plastic powder hopper.
What do you guys do to control static? I am considering getting a static bench mat and floor mat and grounding through a slow discharge resistor.
TIA for advice.

Dryer sheets are helpful and according to Lee, washing in dawn but DONT rinse off.

Won't do the powder measure much good to wash a drier sheet. Wash the plastic
hopper. Not many go to such lengthes for minor static cling (it's just a powder measure and has no circuitry to be damaged by static), but if you want to try grounding and other anti static methods it's OK.

I guess I was just being anal/ocd. I don’t imagine a few flakes of leftover powder are going to seriously affect the next batch.

Normally you use once used drier sheets. Just wipe the inside down. Also what is your humidity level running in your area. Low humidity just makes it worst.

Normally when you use the dispenser the walls gets coated with graphite. This helps to eliminate static, so if yours is coated, don't clean it off. You can runs some plain graphite through it. Or take pound of powder and just cycle it through it.

Get the 3M anti static spray I think its for electronics I treat my Neil Jones with it form time to time, let it dry after wiping down all parts inside and out then run powder back through it to get graphite coat back.

When using a dryer sheet make sure it is used, a new one will cause more problems you don’t need. Static guard works well also, but just cycling a pound of powder through it is probably best.

People that don't live where the RH is always in single digits don't understand. If you think powder gets annoying, try corncob tumbler media!
