After the post office sent my new Benchmade on tour of Texas, it's finally in my hand. On the backside of the blade it says.....First Production 12 of 1000

What is the deal on that?

Its a first production lol. One you should hang on to. What model is it? I just picked up a new Benchmade Sibert MPR for $145 normally $260 and i really like it. My 4th Benchmade

I loved my benchmade (Pardie 5330). Until I lost it... Been using an Al Mar since, great knife, but so much heavier than my Pardue was...

The first production runs are usually limited to 1000 pieces and sometimes have different materials or color options than the following standard production models.

Greetings
Sounds like a keeper.
I have an older one that has been around for about 13 years. Cannot remember the model name or #. Clip point balde is 3 9/16" partial serated with Titanium handles. 4 hex head bolts hold it together. Handle is 4 3/4" with a lanyard hole. Very good steel in the blade. Mike in ILL
