I have a benelli nova pump. Can i shoot slugs and buckshot through it with the choke that comes on it from the factory

Did it not come with multiple chokes? Buckshot is are through any choke, but usually patterns best through a modified or less constricting choke. Slugs are also best with a modified or looser choke, too tight of a choke can cause problems, but it isn't likely unless you go to something closer to an extra full.

My Nova tactical is very accurate with slugs. It has a fixed IC choke at the moment, but I have a replacement barrel on the way that is threaded for tubes and comes with a rifled tube installed.

As far as slugs through a choked barrel, most common "rifled" slugs are made from a soft lead alloy and the rifling on the projectile serve the purpose of giving lead a place to go when it is swaged through a choke. Such slugs can be fired through just about any choke from cylinder to full (not sure I would try them with an extra full). Best results will likely come from more open chokes.

When firing slugs made from a hard lead alloy (like many Brenneke slugs) I would be very hesitant to fire them through a full, or even modified choke.

It's pretty typical for a Benelli Nova pump to be sold with three choke tubes and a wrench to change them with too.

Except for the Tactical model, which has a fixed Cyl choke.

Mine came with multiple chokes. I have not switched them. Problem is I don't know which I have. I believe they have notches in the top to tell the difference.
