Was @ my fav. gun shop today w/the intent of purchasing a Benelli Nova($289, figured I couldn't go wrong, especially since I've yet to purchase a shotgun...

But then I got to looking @ a Benelli M4 limited edition(#2470 of 2500) for $1389...after looking @ the M4 the nova just holds little appeal.

Is the M4 worth another $600 over the M1? I didn't see "all" that many differences, though it is a rather good looking gun, and performance I hear is great.

Is the M4 worth the extra cost(plinking & home defense will be its only uses)?

I havn't heard much about the M4...opinions/thoughts?

If you're set on the M4, I'd wait on the not-so-limited editions...I rather have a PGS (or even a straight stock) over that dorky not-so-collapsible stock :barf:

The only reason I'd get an M4 right now is if I was dead set on an over-the-counter Benelli that had an optic rail.

I sure do hate the fake extended mag tube on it though...I don't think there's a way to change that, because of that ring that hangs off the end of the barrel.

Tee hee hee!

Personally I like my super 90 M3, if the semi can't handle it switch to pump and keep going. So far the only type of shot the semi didn't like were those Activ rounds, other then that it will shoot everything.

IMO, I feel the higher magazine capacity of a standard stocked M4 greatly outweighs the limited capacity of the 'Limited Edition' with a pistol grip and non-collapsible 'collapsible' stock.
